Lady Gaga is no doubt a pop icon in the music industry. She pushes boundaries with her film clips, her fashion and even her sexuality but now Lady Gaga is pushing a boundary of a different kind - online views.
Cracking 1 billion views her music videos are a top hit on the internet. Lady Gaga’s video clip mostly entertain with her europop, tracy lyrics and even racier outfits.
Her videos are not always seen as entertaining, to other people her videos are perceived as quite shocking in a way particularly for those who don’t really know Lady Gaga. Most of her videos feature semi-nudity and I think this would anger some parents.
The concern raised is whether it is appropriate for her to be a role model for millions of young girls and the effect it might have on their core audience. So many young girls try to emulate their idols by dressing like them but on another outlook, this is entertainment so we should enjoy it just so long as the parents enforce what is good and bad for them to watch.
